This was our first time at Papa Murphy's. In the past, the idea of picking up a pizza that we have to bake ourselves seemed unusual but today was "customer appreciation day" and the XLNY pizzas were only $4.99 so we decided to try it out. Overall, it was good. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and $5 was a great value. We both agreed, however, that we wouldn't have paid full price. The pizza was delicious but we felt it was on par with a good quality frozen pizza. Maybe just a notch above but definitely not quite up there with other pizza places. That's not to say Papa Murphy's is bad -- not at all. It was good and we would eat here again. But only with a really good coupon. 😁
Papa Murphy's is the absolute worse place on this planet to work. I was the store manager at the muscle shoals store for almost a year. I put my heart and soul into running that store. I scored a 96 on first health department score and a 99 on the second. Can't get much better then that, right? Well, apparently I was mistaken because after opening "my" store on a Wednesday about a month ago thinking it was going to be a pretty good day, I was wrong. I spent almost a year walking on egg shells putting everything I had into running that store and pleasing my boss. My coworkers tried to tell me that I was wasting efforts and time because the district manager at this store was impossible to please. They were right. It was probably more emotionally draining then giving birth to any of my 3 boys. I spend hours and hours working off the clock to clean the store the nights she was opening the next morning and wouldn't leave until it was spotless, literally. It never failed, the first thing she did when she came in the next day was find the one thing she could find that wasn't up to her personal idea of standard. I was asked not to wear the kind of deodorant I wore, I was asked not to eat the cough drops I used, and also to change laundry detergent because she didn't like the way anything I used smelled. She came in on that Wednesday with a smile from ear to ear and after having me complete all the morning tasks decided to inform me that I no longer had a job and to give her my key. She wouldn't allow me to make the schedule because from what it appeared and the opinions of all the other employees was that she was scheduling herself 40 plus hours in my store but was only there at most one day a week. She would go to Florence shopping on Bank runs returning 2 hours later most days when she was actually there. She was rude to customers on many occasions. I didn't even get the chance to say GOODBYE to any of my many regular customers I had grown close to. I post this today because she refused to give me the regional managers number and I've yet to find it to this day. I was treated like I was nothing and left feeling the same way. That place did more damage to my life then I could ever have imagined.

Tonight's food was delicious. We ordered an hour before close on a Sunday night and the guy was super helpful. He suggested the pizza i was wanting. Even though it was late he didnt mind to make us 3 large pizzas. So props to the hiring managers. Sunday nights crew was awesome.10-2-22 thank you all.
Love the pizza they could work in their customer service though. They put a customer that came in after us in front of us and gave them our pizza. When they took it back, they didn't offer to remake it or anything. Although I would've declined, I just feel they should've made sure we were comfortable in taking something someone else touched
UPDATE February, 2020: Papa Murphy’s now has a pick-up area for app orders. It’s super efficient! All that I had to do is walk in, pick up my pizza and then walk out! Way to go!!!! Very good pizza! I did the XLT New York style pizza, due to a coupon. It baked to perfection and is a very nice size! Dinner and breakfast.....total win!
